Wairarapa Wins, 4-3 ■-1.-. ■ (N.Z. Press Association) MASTERTON, August 23. Wairarapa became the second provincial side to beat the Japanese hockey team when it won, 4-3, at Masterton this afterpoon. The halftime score was 2-all. All Wairarapa’s goals were scored by the captain and centre-forward, K. Percy, while for Japan, the centreforward, S. Hatamura scored twice, and the centre-half and captain, K. Iwahashi, once from a penalty corner. The teams were:— Japan.—M. Ohara: T- Yuzaki, Y. Takashima; N. Kaoku, K. Iwahashi, T. Yamaoka; J. Yamakichi. K. Takizawa, S Hatamura, M. Akabe, S. Kihara.
