“Discrimination Against Women”
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 22. Mr M. A. Connelly (Opposition, Riccarton) asked the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) in the House of Representatives today whether, “in view of the Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan) saying that women’s beauty salons, lingerie departments and cosmetic manufacture are unessential industries, he will give an assurance that notwithstanding any bias shown by his Cabinet colleagues he will not discriminate against the tiir sex?”
