Methodists Oppose Flogging
‘•Flogging and simatar farms of corporal punishment are not the remedy for moral delinquency, and whatever form of punishment society feels it is necessary to impose on toe offender, it should not revert to these methods,” said a resolution approved by the North Canterbury Methodist Synod yesterday. The resolution will be referred to toe public questions commirttee of toe Dominion Metoodiist Conference to meet in Auckland in November.
