No Canterbury Game Against Wellington
There will be no Rugby League fixture between Canterbury and Wellington, in Wellington. this year. A meeting of the management committee of the Canterbury Rugby League was advised by the Wellington League that the dates suggested by Canterbury were not suitable. Laver Beaten.—R. Emerson (Australia) beat the Wimbledon champion, R. Laver (Australia), 6-3, 6-3, 3-6, 0-6, 6-2, in the final of the men's singles in the Austrian lawn tennis championships at Kitzbuehel.— Kitztouehel, August 21.
