(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. August 22. The secondary school girls’ hockey tournament opened in fine weather at Karori Park, Wellington, today. Results were:— Section One.—Kuranui 8, Nae 0: Wellington Girls’ College 2. Ashburton 1; Wellington Girls’ College 3. Nae 1; Kuranui 1. Ashburton 0. Section Two —Nelson 8. Mana 0; Taraua 6, Nelson 3. Section Three. Wellington Technical 2. Wairarapa 2; Marlborough 5. Onslow 0; Wellington Technical 6. Onslow 0; Marlborough 4. Wairarapa 0 Section Four.—Horowhenua 4. Wellington East 0: Hutt High 2. Wellington East 1. Non-competition Games.—Tararua 5, Hutt High 0; Horowhenua 10. Mana 0. •
