Betting Plunge On N.Z. Horse
(N-Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) _ SYDNEY, August 22. The New Zealand stayer Action Packed has been made the medium of a supremely confident plunge by one of his homeland admirers. The punter has written to a prominent Sydney bookmaker requesting 40 doubles on the Epsom-Metropolitan—-all ending with Action Packed as the second “leg.” The bookmaker said the punter had secured “astronomical” odds about many of the 40 doubles.
