NEW CHURCH PROJECTS
Methodists Spend £341,000 New church projects at present under construction by the MethOdiist Chprch throughout the Dominion ate being financed at an estimated cost of £341.000. according to the annual report of the Church’s Dominion church building and loan fund committee. The report was presented at the annual meeting of the North Canterbury Methodist Synod yesterday. The figure does iiot include the largely private financing of two Eventide homes. In presenting the report, the committee'? secretary said it should be particularly emphasised that in the whole question of church building and development, the needs of the older church areas were tending to be forgotten. 'Proportionately too much concern was being given to the provision of church facilities in the newer developing areas of the citqj, he said.
