FIELD SERVICE SCHOLARS

Plane Will Land At Auckland The aircraft chartered from the Flying Tiger Lire for the conveyance of field service scholars between New Zealand and the United States will now definitely arrive at Auckland on August 24. This was announced yesterday by Mr R. G. Pearce, national president of the American Field Service organisation. ' The plane will leave on the same day on the return flight to the United States, Mr Pearce said. There had been a possibility that the aircraft would be diverted to Christchurch, but this arrangement had been cancelled. On the incoming flight 22 Nev,’ Zealand scholars will be on board. There will be 25 American scholars going home on the return flight as well as 28 New Zealand scholars.
