JEWELLERY TO TONE
Face Shape And Complexion
With costume jewellery more colourful this spring than ever, be sure that the jewellery you choose complements your complexion, costume and the shape of your face, in order to receive the most benefit from these important fashion accessories. Your jewellery will be twice as flattering if you remember these tips. First, always wear a facial makeup to give your necklaces and ear-rings as clear and beautiful a background as possible. Flatter a creamy skin tone with gold jewellery, and complement a pink complexion with silver. When wearing coloured jewellery, be sure that it does not clash with your costume, complexion, or lipstick colour. If your skin is sallow, retrain from tones of yellow, green, or orange. Avoid white if the skin is mottled, and remember that jet black will accent lines in the face and neek. Unless your .figure is tall and willowy, wear only modified versions of heavy pendants and bead ropes, which might otherwise submerge you in a cluttered appearance. Dangling ear-rings are for you if your face is round, but a button ear-ring or one that sweeps up on the ear lobe will prove more flattering if your face is long.
