Army Party Leaves For Malaya
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 9. An Army party of 20, including wives and children, left Whenuapai in a Royal New Zealand Air Force aircraft yesterday for Malaya. Three officers and two n.c.o.’s are pre-advance party members of the Ist Battalian, New Zealand Regiment.
The party is expected to go to Fort George, Malacca. The remainder of the advance party is expected to leave by air next month.
