The 15,682-ton liner Corw inthic. at present loading refrigerated and general eargo for Britain - at, Lyttelton, is one of the Shaw ;SaviUaittl Albion Line’s '’bi* four.” A sister ship to yisUAwwnie, also built irt;l947. she is the largest ship ip port- »t present and is conwnandt-d by Captain A. C. Jones. Two other vessels, both built in 1948, complete the group. They are the Gothic, which carried the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh to New Zealand and Australia, and the Ceremaci. The ships can accommodate 85 passengers each. They have tall masts.slightly rstkitd aft, and a large freeboard and lofty midship structure'. surmounted by a black’-topped funnel. The Corinthic is , expected to sail for New Plymouth today.
