League South Sydney Side Beats Addington

Underfoot conditions were atrocious when the South Sydney Rugby League Club’s under 18 team beat the Addtagton under 18 team at the Jerrold street reserve yestes’day morning. Goal kicking was welt nigh impossible and the visitors' three tries to pne gave them a 9-3 victory. The ground was a sea of mud and water before the game started, but until the ball became heavy the South Sydney players produced a splendid display of passing. The second half was purely a forward scramble tn the mud and the helMirhe score of 9-3 remained unaltered. Scorers tor South Sydney were J. Summerhays, J. Brown and I. Shortland. K. Blaokler scored a try for Addington after a kickthrough by W. Campbell. Mr G. Blackler was the referee.

The South Sydney side will end its short tour when it plays the Canterbury under 18 team at Halswell on Sunday.
