A 14-rpomed house at 85 Dyers Pass road, Cashmere, offered at auction yesterday on account of the estate of the late Dr, W. Aitken, was passed in at £4BOO. Bidding started at £4500. There were three bids of £lOO. The house has two storeys, with a lounge, sunroom, three bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, scullery, and a pantry upstairs, and a lounge, bedroom, bathroom, lavatory, and storeroom on the ground floor. Outbuildings include • garage, washhouse, workshop, lavatory, and wood shed.
