Markets Quiet Again Yesterday
Markets were quiet again on New Zealand Stock Exchanges yesterday. Most prices were unchanged, and rises and falls were approximately equal. 1 dated. Consolidated Metal Industries and Coulls, Somerville. Wilkie made the best gains of the day among New Zealand s " a Js s ; '- o!onia ' J>ugar Refinery recovered 40s to £6O, and Mount Isa Is 6d to 61s. B. L. Hart and Heards Industries fell sharply. The falls among Australian and English-domiciled shares were mainly small. M. O Brien had buyers at 8s 3d. sellers 10s, at the morning call. Previous business, before the announcement of the dividend increase and proposed par issue, was done at 7s 9d.
