League Team Leaves
The New Zealand Rugbv League team for the tour of England and France was given a farewell in the Auckland Town Hall yesterday afternoon, Replying to the Mayor, Mr D. M. Robinson, the manager of the team, Mr C. H. Siddle, mid: “We know we will face etiff opposition in both England and France, but will try to delight the crowds with the type of open league New Zealand would wish us to play " The Kiwis left by air from Whenuapai last evening on the first stage of the journey to San Francisco. They will spend 28 hours there before flying to London. They wiH play thier first matoh against a combined Liverpool-Widnes team at Widnes on August 18. —(PA.)
