Traffic Lanes
Sir, —Could the traffic department educate motorcyclists, cyclists, and some motorists to get into their correct lanes at traffic lights? I recently had the experience of waiting for the green light in the centre lane at the Bank of New Zealand corner with three or four bicycles and a motor-cycle in the lefthand lane. Naturally I assumed they were turning left, but to my astonishment, they swung across me as the green light appeared and only hard braking saved an accident. —Yours, etc., BRAKES. August 9, 1961.
