SHOOTING DRIVES
Ban On Power Boats Power boats mav not be used to put up game birdsin organised shooting drives, according to a decision bv the council of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society last evening. A report from the rangers’ committee recommended that the shooting of game from boats should be under the supervision of the field staff, and only non-powered boats should be used. Mr G. W. Thompson said that the banning of power boats from areas used for game shooting had already received the support of the Minister of Internal Affairs.
