THIS SMALL SLIP yesterday earned away about 25yds of footpath and part of the roadway in Whaka crescent near the Coronation Hospital. The footpath, taking with; it protective railings and about 3ft of roadway, slid into the hospital’s orchard about 25ft below. Heathcote County Council workmen put barriers along about 75yds of the road near the slip, reducing the width to one lane, and dividing off part of the footpath where cracks, were appearing.
