BOGUS BARONET ARRESTED
To Appear On Theft Charge A man who posed as a baronet in Chris’church last week was arrested yesterday on a charge of theft as a He posed as Sir Francis Croft, Bart., of Croft Castle. Herefordshire. Police interviewed the man last Wednesday, and when they went to his hotel room on Thursday found it locked. His room was entered through a window, and it was found he had taken about 30 barbiturate tablets. He was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital, and immediately on his discharge vesterday was arrested by Detective-Constables B. Kimber and D. White. He is alleged to have committed theft as a servant m the Taumarunui area. He will appear in the Magistrate’s Court today.
