Parish Ball At Halswell
Although heavy rain and floods made it necessary for guests to walk over a footway of wooden planks to get to the hall, the St. Mary’s Anglican Parish ball held at Halswell recently, was successful. Special guests were the Dean of Christchurch (the Very Rev. Martin Sullivan) and Mrs Sullivan. Members of the committee were Mr and Mrs R. Gardiner, Mr and Mrs E. Borgfeldt. Mr and Mrs F. Mallet, Mesdames G. Penney, C. Brook, S. Morris and F. Kplkman.
