BRITISH TEAM
Possible Tour Of N.Z. In 1963 A letter from the British Hockey Board in reply to one sent by the New Zealand Hockey Association on the possibility of a British team touring New Zealand in 1963 was received at a meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand association on Friday evening. The letter from the British board asked that the terms for such a tour be outlined. After discussion had been taken in committee the chairman (Mr A. D. Holland) said that a letter would be sent to the British board stating that in the past the New Zealand association had paid a substantial part of travel expenses of Indian and Pakistan teams to tour New Zealand and had also paid internal expenses. The British board would be asked to state the figure required for such a tour and also to bear in mind possible negotiations with Australia for a tour of both countries, said Mr Holland.
