HAMILTON. July 13. The French Rugby team will celebrate France's national holiday. Bastite Day. tomorrow as the guests at dinner of Mr and Mrs A. B Baker, of Cambridge. Mrs Baker, formerly Miss Andree Belay, a member of he French resistance movement during the war. wrote to the team manager saying she would be delighted once again to celebrate July 14 in the company of Frenchmen. Guerre, the Resistance Cross, and the Medal of the Free French, Mrs Baker served with the First French Army in Egypt, Lebanon. Nor’h Africa. Italy, and Germany, as well as in France
Before dinner, there will be a fiag-raising ceremony' at Mr and Mrs Baker's home. “She has promised us a real French dinner. We are delighted to be going.” said Mr Marcel Laurent, manager of the touring team, today.
