COMMERCIAL Long List Of Lower Share Prices

The market for New Zealand shares was very weak yesterday, with 19 falls and only two rises. Only Southland Frozen Meat and the recently*listed Robert Holt were firmer. Perpetual Trustees, J. J. Niven and Silknit showed the sharpest falls among the New Zealand shares. Australian shares were again firmer. Rises outnumbered falls by eight to six among the overseas shares traded. Ready Mixed Concrete made the best gain, rising 3s 6d to 15s in Auckland. A.N.Z. Bank and Colonial Sugar eased further.
