(From Oa» Own Reporter) WELLINGTON. July 13. Wmdvale Lad’s Timaru owner-trainer, Mr C. T. Stewart. was asked at Trenthsm this morning to put a price on his horse. Mr Stewart said he would not consider anything under five figures so no business will be done. Windvale Lad will cone through the meeting unbeaten in three starts if he manage* o win the Kia Ora Haok Handicap on Saturday. He will be having his first rare over a middle distance bu: has been running out mile race* strongly and it will be surprising if he has marked stamina limitations. He was also accepted in the Crofton Hack Handicap but drew the outside position in a field of 22 and that would have ter him a tremendous task over seven furlongs. W. D. Skelton will ride the Riccartoa hack Pitch in the Crofton Handicap.
