New Minister For Burma

(IV.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 11. The Burmese Ambassador to Australia and Minister Plenipotentiary to New Zealand, Brigadier Aung Shwe, who arrived yesterday from Canberra, presented his credentials to the GovernorGeneral (Lord Cobham) at Government House today. The Ambassador, who is resident in Canberra, cantemplates visiting New Zealand from time to time. A soldier by profession the brigadier was a resistance fighter during the Japanese occupation of Burma.
