GENERAL RATE: A General Rate of THREE AND ONE-EIGHTH PENCE (31d) IN THE £l. Made under sections 90 and 92 of "The Municipal Corporations Act 1954.” and "The Rating Aot. 1925." for general municipal purposes. 2. STREET LIGHTING: A separate rate of DECIMAL ONE OF A PENNY (.Id) IN THE £l. Made under Section 101 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1954," and "The Rating Act, 1925,” for the purpose of lighting Borough street*. 3. WATER RATE: As to those lands and dwelling houses in the Borough to which water is supplied. A Water Rate of DECIMAL 8 OF A PENNY (,8d) IN THE £1 (Minimum £1). As to those lands and dwelling houses to which water could be but is not supplied. situated within 100 yarto of the waterworks, a Rate of (i) of the above-mentioned rate. On all buildings other than dwelling houses a Rate of DECIMAL FOUR (.4d) IN THE £l. These rates will be made under Section 95 and 96 of "The Municipal Corporations Act. 1954.” and "The Rating Act. 1925," for the purposes of water supply and maintenance of waterworks. 4. RICCARTON BUSH TRUST BOARD: A Separate Rate of DECIMAL NOUGHT TWO OF A PENNY (,02d) IN THE £l. made under the provisions of Section 10 of “The Riccarton Bush Amendment Act, 1947." and "Tile Rating Act. 1925.” to meet contributions payable to that Board. 5. CANTERBURY MUSEUM TRUST BOARD: A Separate Rate 01 DECIMAL ONE OF A PENNY (.Id) IN THE £l. made under the provisions of Sections 12 and 14 of "The Canterbury Museum Trust Board Act. 1947,” and "The Rating Act, 1925,” to meet contributions payable to that Board. 6. NORTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD: A Separate Rate of DECIMAL ONE SIX EIGHT OF A PENNY (,168d) IN THE £l. The Borough is classified as Waimakariri "Class D” and the proceeds thereof are for general river maintenance purposes. Made under the "Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act. 1941.” and its Amendments, in particular Sections 95, 96 and 97 and Amendments thereto, and by virtue of the powers vested in the Board by Orders-in-Council dated the 13th day of February. 1947, and the 9th day of October, 1947, and “The Rating Act, 1925.” 7. NORTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD: A Separate Rate of DECIMAL ONE ONE FOUR OF A PENNY (,U4d) IN THE £l. The proceeds thereof are for general administration purposes and the rate Is made in pursuance of a direction by Special Order from the North Canterbury Catchment Board and made under the "Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act. 1941." in particular Sections 84 96 and 97, and "The Rating Act. 1925." It is further publicly notified that the Council will collect rates made and duly advertised by the Christchurch ; Drainage Board and Christchurch Transport Board on the 14th day and 22nd day of June. 1961, ■ respectively. Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Sectton 76 of "The Rating Act. 1925.” a penal charge of 10 per cent, will be added to all rates unpaid at the expiration of six months and fourteen days from the date of demand. It is further publicly notified that th* whole of the beforementioned rates will be payable at the office of the Riccarton Borough Council. 189 Clarence street.
