Parliament’s Diary
When the House of Representatives resumed this afternoon, members asked ministers 14 questions. Papers tabled included the annual report of the New Zealand Gas Council. The Address-to-Reply debate was then continued. The speakers were:— Government The Minister of Education (Mr Tennent). Mr T. T. Murray (Stratford), the Minister of Lands <Mr Gerard), Mr D. N. McKay (Marsden), Mrs E. Tombleson (Gisborne), Mr J. B. Gordon (Clutha), Mr L. F. Sloane (Hobson). Opposition,—Mr W W. Freer (Mount Albert), Mrs I. M. Ratana (Western Maori), Mr W. A. Fox (Miramar), Mr R. L. Bailey (Heretaunga*, Miss M. B. Howard (Sydenham). The House rose at 10.30 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. tomorrow.
