Relicence Totals 4000 Up
More than 4000 more vehicle licences were taken out in the Christchurch postal district for the new licensing year than during the corresponding period last year From June 1 up to noon on Saturday, 66,327 licence® had been issued, compared with 62.318 up to July 1, i 960. Licences totalling 30.018 were issued over the counter at the Chief Post Office, while 12.639 were issued in bulk and 6793 were sent out by cost. The rest were issued from suburban or country offices.
