The clever stickwork and ball control of the visitors, especially the captain, Udham Singh, Harbinder Singh, and Gurdev Singh, who scored two goals earth, and the speedy wing. Darshan Singh thrilled the crowd, and brought continuous applause. The Horowhenua team was not overwhelmed, however, and for most of the match gave a good account of itself For Horowhenua, the leftback. N Austin, was most im. pressive. and thwarted many attacks by the Indian forwards. But for his display, and that of the goal-keeper. R.
