SHOAL’S RETIREMENT
Shoa! has been retired, and ibis time, says her partowner, Mr J. F. Tuttcn, it is for keeps. Shoal was a well beaten favourite in the Donald Grant Memorial at Washdyke .on Saturday, and it has been decided to let her down and send her to Che Inglewood Stud stallion We Don’t Know in the spring. Shoal was brought back into work earlier this year after it was found she was not in foal to Magic Carpet. She did net win a race on her present' campaign, but minor placings carried her earnings into five figures. Altogether she earned £10,195.
