BUILDINGS AT MANGERE
I Consultant’s , Confidence (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. July 2 The controversy over terminal building facilities at Mangere airport "should be easily resolved.” said the American airport planning consultant. Mr Leigh Fisher, on his arrival in Auckland today. “There has to be enough room to handle incoming aircraft and accommodate the people they bring.” said Mr Fisher. He will discuss Mangere development tomorrow with the Auckland Airport Com. mittee. Since his last visit here. Mr Fisher has seen only tentative sketch plans of work under way at the Auckland International Airport and newspaper clippings which described progress. The aircraft bringing Mr Fisher into Whenuapai today flew low over the Mangere site, giving him an excellent view of the earthworks. "An impressive amount has been done in just one season.” said Mr Fisher. “It is really exciting.’’
