Courtesan’s Win A swab taken from Courtesan after she won the Allenton Handicap on the first day of the Ashburton Trotting Club’s winter meeting on Saturday. June 3. has proved positive, according to advice released yesterday by the New Zealand Trotting Conference. No date has yet been set to ’hear charges resulting from the findings of the analyst. Courtesan, a six-year-old mare by Court Martial from Rosemorran, is raced by Mr R. C Turton and trained for b:m at Addington by W. E. Thomson. She was driven at Ashburton by A. J. Bourne. Courtesan, the 12 T 1 favourite. paid £43 13s for a win and £lO 6s for a place. She beat the 14 z 14 favourite. Royal Harmony by three lengths.
