Life-Saving New Resuscitation Method

A suggestion that the Canterbury Surf Life-saving Association should investigate the possibilities of a method nf resuscitation known as the "closed chest heart mt>ssa , ?e.” was made by Mr A T. Dalton at a ■afs'ins of the association on Wednesday evening. The president of the New Zealand Surf Life-saving Association (Mr F. H. Jackson) said present know ledge of the method was inadequate and its use could be dangerous.

Mr Jackson said the method could be used as s supplement to mouth-to-mouth resuscitation but he would not advise its use instead.
