Rebel Leader Killed
(N Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) ORAN, June 28. French security forces yesterday killed Abdel Hamid, the Algerian rebel civilian and military leader for the Oran area, as he tried to escape arrest. Hamid was high in the hierarchy of the rebel National Liberation Front and had been sought by police and troops in the Oran district for a year, the British United Press said.
