: Success In Shooting Competition The Sea Cadet Corps of 'the Canterbury branch of the [Navy League now has a full (Complement of 100 fullylenrolled cadets, with a trainl ing division of 48 boys in plain clothes, says the annual report of the commanding officer of the corps (Lieu-tenant-Commander E. J Glanvilie). The corps ex- : pects to lose several of the ; training division to school units. The report will be presented to the annual meeting iof the Navy League next week. This is the third year that the Canterbury corps has en-; tered the Commonw ilth[ miniature rifle shooting com- j petition. It is the second year the corps ■ had entered i two teams The A team won ■ the New Zealand section off the competition and the B team finished second. “The final results of the competition have not ye! come to hand, but we have; been unofficially informed that the Canterbury A team! finished second with a score! of 783 points, and the 3 team scored <54 points.” says the. report.
