BURNSIDE HIGH SCHOOL
289 Enrolments The Burnside High School so far has 289 enrolments (180 girls and 129 boys) for third forms next year. The headmaster (Mr C. Cross) told the board of governors yesterday that more boys would be accepted to bring the intake to about 300. ; Mr Cross said that the additional eight-room block now promised should be carefully I planned to fill the require!ments of the school. It ■should contain a typewriting room (with model office), a commercial room, a dressmaking room, a flexible laboratory (with moveable benches), a demonstration laboratory (with tiered seating). and three general clas’TOOms. The board agreed to ask the Education Department to m«ke these specifications. The board decided to join toe Secondary School Boards’ Association and Mr A. F. Foley will be delegate to its conference in August. ,
