N.Z. FRIESIAN ASSOCIATION

Council Members Re-elected

The four retiring members of the council of the New Zealand Friesian Association —the president, Mr J. Lee Hodgson (Hamilton), and Messrs K. G. Fairbrother (Dalefield), C. W. Humm (Waikuku), and M. S. Rennie (Mangere)—were all re-elect-ed by the annual general meeting of the association in Christchurch on Thursday. A remit from the Taranaki branch recommending that the election of the council should be on a ward system was rejected. Mr O. A. Cadwallader, of Greytown, was made an honorary life member of the association in recognition of his long service to the breed.

A mounted coloured photograph was presented to Mr K. G. Fairbrother by the president in acknowledgement of his and Mrs Fairbrother's services at the association's jubilee last year.
