Leniency On Laws Sought (From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON. June 23. Rugby referees had been asked to be more reasonable in their interpretation of the law which requires a team to reture 10 yards when penalised, it was reported at >a meeting of the Ne’’’ Zealand Rugby Union’s council | today Mr T H Pearce said that some players could not run back fast enough to satisfy some referees.
