Recovery At Blenheim (N Z Press Association > BLENHEIM. June 14. A £5 note which formed part of the waterfront payroll stolen by Trevor Edward Nash in 1956 was recovered by the Blenheim police today from a local bank. Inquiries made by the police show that it was paid into the bank by a Blenheim garage and that it had come from the garage's service station There the trail has ended. It is the first known instance of the recovery of one of the stolen notes in the Marlborough district. The five-pound note which was recovered in Blenheim was detected by a bank clerk All banks have lists of the serial numbers of the higher denominations of the stolen notes.
