Bacon

Sir,—l fail to see the point in “Home Grown’s" letter. •Everyone appreciates that, no matter what the item, the fresher it is the more flavour it has. I am sure we would all like to have an ample supply of home-cured bacon, but many thousands of people have to live in towns. Does “Home Grown” advocate that every family living in town should keep a pig on their section, or would he encourage them all to become country dwellers?—Yours, etC '’ WILTSHIRE CURED. June 13, 1961.
