New Cars For Ministers
IN Z Press Association I WELLINGTON. June 11. The Minister of Transport <Mr McAlpine) announced today that the Government had approved the purchase of 10 Ford Fairlane 500 cars to replace 10 high mileage cars in the Ministerial transport fleet. The price was not disclosed. but an official of the Ford Company said today that the standard version of the model retailed at £1979 It is understood that the normal Government practice of issuing licences to the value reouired to the successful tenderer was followed.
