Wrestling AMATEUR TITLES

N.Z. Team In Japan “Fit” (N Z-P-A.-Reuter—Copyright) TOKYO, June 2 The New Zealand wrestlers, P. Moore, B. Roberts, and H. Courtney, were “fit and weU” on the eve of the world amateur wrestling championships at Hiyoshi township, near Yokohama Port today, according to the New Zealand manager (Mr J. Lock). “They are resting tonight but when they get into the fighting they will be doing their best." He said he would not like to comment on the team’s chances, “but we have the fullest confidence, but. looking at the other teams, the members seem fairly tough customers.” There were three nonstarters for the championships. This left 20 countries represented, for the free-style and Greco-Roman competition, -by about 150 wrestlers.
