Toll Traffic Interrupted

fNZ Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 2. The Cook Strait radio channel from Wellington to Seddon, about 17 miles south' of Blenheim, carrying the bulk of telephone circuits between the North and South Islands went partly out of commission about noon today. The trouble developed at a repeater station near Kaikoura about 10.30 a.m.. said the divisional equipment engineer of the Christchurch Post and Telegraph Department (Mr E. G. Harris). Telegraph transmission was not affected, but there was a considerable delay in the transmission of toll calls to the North Island. The fault was repaired about 4.30 p.m, and toll traffic was quickly brought back to normal, Mr Harris said. y.
