Sapling Stakes Scratching
c Strip was scratched yesterday from the New Zealand Sapling Stakes, the feature race on the first day of the Ashburton Trotting Club's winter meeting on Saturday. Happy Songster, which has drawn No. 11, will now re-enter the field. Answer To Correspondent. —“R.P.F.,” Westport: Lordship was placed at the Waimate and Rangiora meetings in December. He won at h?s next four starts, at Addington, Orari, Washdyke and Wyndham, finished fourth at Methven and won at Oamaru.
