Jack Brabham, the world champion racing driver, averaged 145.5 miles an hour in trials yesterday in preparation for the Indianapolis race on Tuesday. The Australian's rearengine Cooper Climax was watched intently in the tests by Brabham’s all-American pit crew. Brabham qualified in thirteenth position in the time trials earlier this month with an average of 145.144 miles an hour.
