Stevenson For Isatin America
(N Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON. May 28 President Kennedy announced today that he was sending the United States Ambassador to the United Nation®. Mr Adlsi Stevenson, on a three-week goodwill mission to South America to discuss new ways of strengthening United States-Latin American co-operation. Mr Stevenson was expected to assure leaders of the South American republics that the United States would support progressive forces in the hemisphere to achieve belter living conditions for the people. United Press International said. He is expected to leave next week-end, probably starting with a visit to Caracas. The White House announcement said the main objective of Mr Stevenson's mission would be to explain the President's “alliance-for-pregress" programme to accelerate social and economic development.
