ADDINGTON INQUIRIES
Place-getter Relegated Adee, which finished third in the Peninsula Handicap at Addington on Saturday, was relegated to fourth at an inquiry after the race into an objection on the grounds of galloping. Spotless, which finished fourth, was promoted to third. No action was taken against Adee's driver, I. S. Sutherland. At the request of the chief stipendiary steward. Dianthus Girl was examined before the first race by the club's veterinary surgeons and the medical officer for the day to determine whether she was blind in one eye. She was declared eligible to race. D. McNaught driver of Faru, and R. M. Cameron driver of Robin Dundee in the Fendalton Handicap, were warned about the manner in which they looked round during the running of the race. C. V. May was warned to improve the barrier manners of Calumite. After the Ellesmere Handicap, a race for probationary drivers, E. R. Edge, driver of Deep Lead, and R. P. Nyhan driver of Guest Star, were warned to exercise more care in the future.
