No Solution For West port Bar
(From Our Own Reporter) WESTPORT, May 26. The Mayor of Westport and chairman of the Westport Harbour Advisory Board (Mr J. Watson) has been advised by the Minister of Marine (Mr Gerard) that, while he regretted the unsatisfactory condition of the Westport bar, he could offer no immediate solution to the problem. The Mayor had drawn attention to the hold up of shipping for the coal and cement trade because of the port being closed owing to poor bar depths.
