H. McLeod, of Gisborne) said at the asgociatian’s annual conference in Hawera today. Mr McLeod was re-elected to his fifth term a* president. The secretary reported that discussions with the chairman of the Technicians' Certification Authority on the certification of orthopaedic technicians had developed into an investigation into the position of trainees and apprentices in orthopaedic trades. The position was being considered by the Hospital Boards’ Association after having been discussed with the Department of Labouf and the Health Department Other officers elected were: Patrons, Messrs W. H. Fitzgerald (Dunedin), A. R. Cockerill (Wanganui), W. Park (Gisborne), L. Will (Christchurch); secretarytreasurer, Mr J. L. Andre; executive council, Messrs McLeod (Gisborne), L. K. Domey (Dunedin), T. Cathro (Wellington), A. Adams (West Coast): auditor. Mr B. P. Jackson (Hawera >; trustees, Messrs McLeod, Andre and G. E. Evans (West Coast).
