CHIROPRACTORS’ ACT
“Announcement Soon”
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 26. The Minister of Health (Mr Hanan) nd 11 soon make an announcement on the Government’s attitude to the Chiropractors’ Act passed by the Labour Government last year. The act provides for a chiropractors’ registration board to be set up. This has not been done yet. The National Party caucus ■his morning heard a report by Mr G. F. Sim (Waikato) who was chairman of a caucus committee which recently considered the Chiropractors' Act. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) told reporters when the caucus adjourned for lunch that the caucus committee made recommendations on amendments to the proposed constitution of the registration board. He said Mr Hanan would make an announcement soon.
Gymnasium Additions.—A decision to reinstate electrical wiring and a lluing of the ceiling in the contract for the new gymnasium at the Shirley Boys’ High School was made at a meeting of the board of governors of the school on Thursday evening. Hie additions will cost £550. The decision was made after the board was told that the money was available.
